First Day of Swimming Lessons

Every day for the next two weeks we will be spending some time poolside since the boys are taking swimming lessons! So expect lots and lots of pictures. :o)

I even managed to sign Ephraim up for swimming lessons, even though he was a little bit too young. Ephraim is NOT afraid of the water (or anything for that matter) and he would not be anxious about going without me, so I went ahead and put him in the Preschool Level 0 class.

I put Jacob in the Preschool Level 1 class. I was not sure if he would pass the class the first time, since they require you to put your head completely underwater and bob up and down a number of times. Jacob doesn't really like to get his head wet, so we'll see how that goes.

So far the boys really love their swimming lessons! Today Ephraim got to be part of a train and ride to the deep end while wrapped in a pool noodle. He thought that was fun.

Then they played "Little Monkeys" on the side of the pool. The teacher is the alligator that snaps the little monkeys back into the pool. I thought Ephraim was so cute!

Jacob had a great time too. He loved all the games that his class played. They played "Alligator, Alligator, What Time is It?", which Jacob loved. They also practiced laying on their tummy and back and played "Motorboat, Motorboat".

I am really glad that we decided to put the boys in swim lessons. It looks like they are going to have a great time AND learn to be safe in the water at the same time. How awesome!
