Dino Museum

Since Thanksgiving Point has $2 Tuesdays in August, I decided to take the boys to the Dinosaur Museum. They love to go but it is usually too expensive to take everyone. But for $2 how can you not go?

We planned our trip for late afternoon, right around dinner time. We didn't have to wait in line at all! The boys had a great time at the museum. Here is the dino that I always take their pictures by. I tried to get Ephraim too, but that kid moves to fast, which makes for blurry pictures.

Amelia didn't mind the dinosaur museum that much. Although when I asked her what she thought of all the fossils she gave me this face:

So maybe they were a little scary!

Of course the large water and sand table is one of the boys' favorite things to do at the museum. Here they are playing with the dinos and trees.

Jacob was especially into it this time. He was trying to make a dam and stop the water from going by.

Ephraim helped by gathering trees.

They also thought it was fun to weigh themselves on this scale to see which dinosaur they weigh the same as. Of course, I can't remember which dinosaur it was!

They liked running around and seeing all the fun fossils and some of the statues.

Amelia even got out of her carseat towards the end, since there were so many cool things to see.

This year they had a new feature, which was a cool magnetic dinosaur puzzle. Jacob had a good time trying to put it together.

Here are some of our favorite fossils: the Tyrannosaurus Rexes.

The boys' other favorite activity is at the very end of the museum where they get to dig for fossils. Here is Jacob brushing off a bone.

I was impressed that I managed to get a picture of both boys working together without other kids in the picture. It was busy, but not too crowded.

We had a great time at the dinosaur museum. Don't let the look on Jacob's face fool you. He was just mad because I wouldn't buy him a model of the space shuttle that they had at the gift shop!
