Dear Jacob,
We had a cold and rainy weekend. On Saturday and Sunday morning when you woke up we could hear you just babbling away. It was so cute, and it made us smile. So daddy went and got you and brought you into our room, and we cuddled and played with you. Getting to see you awake in the morning is one of my favorite parts of the weekend.
On Saturday we spent the morning cleaning upstairs while daddy worked on changing the car’s oil. Then we went shopping and found a cute button up shirt for you. We are going to have you wear it when we have my friend Cari take our family picture this weekend. Then on Sunday we had you wear it to church, and you were adorable.
Sunday evening we had some friends over for dinner after church. They (Jeff & Brancy Davis) are expecting a baby boy in October, so maybe you and he will be friends. We had a great time talking to them and telling them the story of how we met, and what it is like to have a new baby.
