Trip to Logan

Since Jacob had Thursday and Friday off for UEA, we decided to go visit the Kirkham's in Logan and meet up with Grandma and Aunt Deanna and her kids. We had a ton of fun! First of all, when I got there I found the cutest bow in Jeanette's bathroom that matched Amelia's outfit perfectly. So I had to put it on! Then Jeanette took some pictures of me and my baby girl.

Then of course we had to take pictures of Amelia and Tennille together. Since Amelia is a bit older, she can sit up by herself, so we put Tennille in the Bumbo.

I have some pretty funny pictures of the two of them interacting while they were sitting together. Then we got the brilliant idea to put them both on their tummies. Aren't they cute?

The highlight of the day for the boys was going to the Pumpkin Walk. They didn't think they were going to like it, but they changed their minds when we got there!

They had tons of cool scenes that were constructed with pumpkins. Our favorites were the angry bird pumpkins....

we could not believe how elaborate the set up was! They had all the bird pumpkins and pig pumpkins, which was really cool.

They also had some fun Calvin and Hobbes Pumpkins, which cracked me up! They were just like the comic strip.

Our second favorite scene was the Plants vs Zombies. We loved all the fun pumpkins that match the game that the boys love to play. You can see some of them in the background of this picture. It was impressive that they even had constructed lawnmowers on the left side. Ephraim likes this game so much that he is going to be one of the zombies for Halloween!

At the end of the pumpkin walk they had all kinds of fun cutouts for the kids to put their heads in. Here are my favorites.

Ephraim as Yoda.

Jacob as Harry Potter (this one's for you Grandpa Devereaux!)

Kaylee, Ephraim and Jacob as Jessie, Buzz, and Woody.

How fun! We had a great time and wish the time had not gone by so fast! I need to visit Jeanette and have a hairbow crafting day sometime!

Amelia at 7 months

I finally managed to get Amelia's seven month pictures taken. Can you believe my girl is seven months old! Crazy! There are a TON of pictures, because I have such a beautiful baby!

I was trying to change Amelia's diaper before taking her pictures, and she rolled away on me! So as punishment, I took some pictures of her in the nude. Now I have incriminating photos for when she is a teenager!

I did finally manage to get a diaper on her and a onesie so I could snap some pictures. Here are my favorites. I had a really hard time narrowing them down because she was in such a happy mood and I got a lot of great pictures!

She is getting so good at sitting up by herself! What a big girl!

I love her little grins!

Of course I had to take some with a hair pretty! I couldn't find her smaller white flower, so you get the big one.

Isn't it cute how she was grabbing her footsies with her fingers? These next two pictures are my all time favorites!

And finally, here are the pictures of her with her 7 months old sign.

I love the way these pictures turned out. I don't think that I would get anything better at a photography studio, which makes me happy!

We love our little girl. She is such a happy baby and we all adore her. Right now she has started to pivot around with her arms when she is on her tummy and she is getting faster at rolling too. Before long she will be crawling all over the house!

Cornbelly's

Last night Joe went up to the church property at Mutual Dell to help work on the pavilion. So I decided to take the boys to Cornbelly's, since we could get in for free from our dental office. I never realized how BIG it is and how much fun stuff they had for kids to do. The boys loved it!

Right away the boys wanted to play on some of the play equipment. They had a variety of wood play pieces that were in lots of fun shapes. Here is Ephraim sliding off the pirate ship.

Here is Jacob on the train.

They had playsets shaped like monster trucks, semi trucks, airplanes... you name it! Here are the boys later in the evening on the airplane.

They also had other fun things to look at, like tractors and firetrucks, which the boys though was really cool.

Besides the wooden playsets, they also had play equipment made of hay bales and pipes. The boys had a great time climbing, sliding, and jumping on them as well.

Amelia was extremely patient the entire time. It was a bit cold and windy, but I had her bundled up and she did pretty well in the stroller. Next time I think I will pack her in my Moby wrap because pushing a stroller through gravel is not really easy or fun!

One of the boys' favorite things at Cornbellys was the jump pillow. It is like a big air bag on the ground that they can jump on. Of course the boys were hard to photograph, since it was dark and they were in motion, so this is what you get.

Can you tell which one is Jacob and which one is Ephraim? Maybe this next picture will help you discern the blurry figures from the previous picture!

The boys really enjoyed our outing to Cornbelly's. It was fun to see them enjoy themselves so much. I would love to go back again during the day time. The only thing that I did not like was the bounce houses. There were too many people, and some of the bounce houses should have had age restrictions because they were too hard for my little people to get out of! Other than that, it was great! We didn't even make it into the corn maze because we were having so much fun in the courtyard. We will have to check that out another time.

Sayonara Soccer Season

We are officially finished with soccer this Fall! We will not be playing soccer again until the Spring season in March.

In some ways it will be nice to be done with soccer for a while, but I sure will miss watching Jacob play! For our last practice, I had Jacob wear Joe's old soccer uniform. I couldn't believe it when Grandma sent us this uniform that Joe wore when he was little!

It's a little bit big, but I think he looks great!

And it is apparent that Jacob enjoys soccer.

Saturday was our last game. So I took Jacob over to the fence on the sidelines and took our "official" soccer shot. How cute is this boy?

We enjoyed the last game. The team we played was not as good as the last time, so I didn't think our team had to play as well. Regardless, Daddy and Amelia had a fun time on the sidelines while I took pictures.

It was a little chilly, but not too bad. When he was on the sidelines, Jacob wore his winter hat to keep warm. I realized that I had not snapped too many pictures of him watching his team, so I took a quick picture. Check out the dirt on his uniform- what a player!

This was my favorite shot of the game. Jacob running away with the ball towards the goal! My boy sure is fast!

After the game they took a quick team photo. Two of the boys were missing, but I guess we will catch them in the spring. Here are the boys looking tough.

Amelia at Story Time

It was such a nice day today, that while the boys were listening to stories at the library, Amelia and I went outside to play in the grass. Since I had my camera with me, I couldn't resist taking a couple of pictures.

Amelia was more interested in checking out the grass and looking at the cars passing by then she was in looking at mommy! She is probably tired of me pointing my camera at her all the time!

But I definitely got a keeper... I love her smile in this next picture. She is such a cutie!

We eventually went inside and listened to books with the boys, since we love stories just about as much as we love beautiful weather!

Soccer Surprise

This Saturday we got a fantastic surprise. Guess who showed up for Jacob's soccer game?

Ephraim recognized our visitors right away! Luckily Jacob was on the sidelines when we pointed out Grandma and Grandpa Heiner to him.

They made it to the soccer game not too long after it started. Grandpa said he wanted to see Jacob play! I think there may have been another reason they wanted to come too.

It has been quite a while since Grandpa has seen Amelia, and she sure has grown!

Grandpa and Grandma got to see quite an exciting game! There were several times that Jacob managed to run away with the ball. He really is quite fast!

This one almost went in!

Coach told Jacob after the game that he did a great job running away with the ball and now he just needs to shoot when he gets close to the goal.

I am sure that as he keeps playing, he will get better at being confident and shooting the ball. It will be fun to see how he does in the spring season.

After the game we went out to lunch. Amelia had a fun time sitting up in the booth by Grandma and Grandpa. She is getting to be so big!

What a cutie!

After lunch we went shopping at Cabellas together. The kids love to look at the fish, the animals, and the and the airplane with skis. After shopping we had to say goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa. It was so fun to see them, even if it was for a short time. Ephraim had so much fun that he passed out on the way home.

Later at home, Joe took the training wheels off Jacob's bike for a minute.

Jacob is not quite up to balancing by himself, but I am sure he will get there soon enough.

Joe did not leave the training wheels off because then Jacob would not be able to ride by himself. Maybe in a few months or next summer Jacob will be ready to ride by himself!

What a busy day! It was busy, but tons of fun!
